Some ups and downs to this property. The layout of the home is one of the coolest I have ever seen. It is really a neat home with a lot of potential. Additionally, the home has an even better view of the sound than what we were anticipating and is also in an incredible location that is quiet and walkable. Unfortunately, there were multiple things broken in the home. Many of the blinds were snapped, screens were broken or missing, handles to open the windows on nice days were missing, and half of the HVAC split units were inoperable. There were also torn up pillows and only one knife for food preparation in the kitchen. None of these issues stopped us from having a great time. I think with a minimal investment from the owner, the property would exceed five stars. Finally, Ocracoke Island Realty is an absolute pleasure to work with and we look forward to renting with them again in the future.

The only complaint we have is all appliances should be checked before next renters arrive in all rentals. This was our second year with a broken dryer. Luckily the dryer was able to be fixed and the parts were on island. Last year was a different story. This place could use a few pot holders, dish rags and towels for the kitchen. Everything else was absolutely wonderful.

Inside of house was great! Very clean! Outside could use use a little power washing and the gate needs to be fixed but other than that it was wonderful as always! We love Sawbones!!!
