This spacious canal front home is located in the Oyster Creek neighborhood on Ocracoke Island. Hammock View provides a private boat dock with easy access to Pamlico Sound. Enjoy family dinners around the large dining room table and relax afterword on the screened-in porch. The living room on the first floor and the sitting area on the second floor offer options for your family to gather and unwind.

3 Bedrooms, 2 Baths: Two Bedrooms each with a Queen. One with Two Double beds. Both baths have a tub/shower.

Amenities include central air conditioning/heat, ceiling fans, complimentary wireless internet access, and 2 satellite TVs. Washer and dryer in ground level laundry shed.

The exterior includes private boat dockage, bulkhead, a screened porch, hot/cold outdoor shower, park style charcoal grill, fish cleaning bench and private storage room for beach gear.

Short Stays are available; there is a three-night minimum, and these stays can be booked within two weeks of arrival.

The location was fantastic. Beautiful home with lots of space and as shown in pictures. If I had one thing to suggest, I’d upgrade to den area with higher quality couches that can seat 6. The current seating isn’t great for 6 adults because of space and because the couches are very worn and don’t have great support. But the kitchen space, dining table and bedrooms were great. I love being in Oyster Creek. It was extremely windy during our stay due to Hurricane Imelda nearby but we had a very relaxing and enjoyable time with family.

Great location for boating — we launched at the ferry dock and it was only about a 10-minute ride back to the house. We fished all weekend and found the place clean and comfortable. Check-in and check-out were straightforward. It’s a no-frills, practical home with a well-stocked kitchen (pots, pans, plates, etc.), perfect for a relaxed, activity-focused stay.

We loved Hammock View. It’s a great house and we always enjoy being on the canals in Oyster Creek. One suggestion would be for the owner(s) to add a ladder to the dock or a short platform (like the house next door) to make it easier to get out of kayaks there. One of our reasons for staying in OC is for the canal and sound access with kayaks.

I contacted maintenance early in our stay to say the Internet wasn’t working. The solution was to unplug the router & plug it back in, which I did but it still didn’t work. I didn’t hear back nor was it ever fixed.

This particular week after Labor Day was perfect: sunny skies, warm but refreshing Atlantic Ocean water, slight breeze every day at the beach. Hammock View on the canal was just right for us, comfortable and clean.
