This house was absolutely perfect for what my husband and I needed with our wild toddler. Love that there is a door that can be closed to the upstairs, I had brought a gate just incase and didn’t need it. We have never stayed in this neighborhood by all the canals, in all of our years coming, it’s now our favorite. If not for some upcoming life events we would be rebooking the same weeks again and again! I also wanted to say how incredibly kind the neighbor out back was, we chatted a few times, he gave me cherry tomatoes from the garden and a ton of gorgeous shells! Made our stay extra special. Thank you thank you, we hope to book here again in the future, beautiful home!

Fabulous as usual. Since our 20-year, go-to, multi-week rental pulled the “pets allowed,” we have had to find a new home-away-from-home on Ocracoke. Reel Retreat was very comfortable, with a lovely screened-in porch, and some views from the top bedroom balcony. It’s a tall order being compared to our favorite place, and Reel Retreat held up well. The completion of the outdoor shower will be a great addition to the property amenities. We appreciated the Oyster Creek neighborhood and met several very nice neighbors. That is the best thing about Ocracoke, the people! We will be back.

Nice cottage on a quiet street. Very clean. The only drawback was the website advertised an outdoor shower, and there is not one on the property, which was very disappointing.

Charming beach cottage tucked back in a quiet neighborhood. There was a fully stocked kitchen to prepare our meals. The hosts were responsive. The wi-fi/internet did not work for our stay but that was only a minor inconvenience. They allow dogs and this was a giant plus for us. We enjoyed our stay and would stay here again.
