OIR met all obligations and provided courteous service. House was ready on time (but a standard check in time earlier than 5:00, even if only an hour, would be very welcome due to wanting to unpack coolers and unload cars).

We love staying at Waterside with our grown children and grand children. They are teenagers and love being able to go out in sound in front of house. We would like to reserve next year same week and if possible even rent two weeks, 27 June - 11 July OR 4-18 July 2026. We are also interested in renting one of the upper units during this time. Rug inside at doorways.

The location of the condo, on the sound, is perfect. It's comfortably furnished, and the kitchen is well-equipped. The condo can use some TLC, with some minor repairs needed. I would recommend staying at Waterside at the Horizon again.

OI Realty is always our choice for our rental needs on the island....will never use anyone else! As far as the Waterside....It was great with the exception of the carport. There is only one light working so it is very dark. Three of the lights were in need of a replacement bulb. The most concerning was the plug outlet next to the front door...it was hanging out of the box. A safety hazard for sure!

We have been staying in this condo for many years and find it perfect for our family. We look forward to next year and many more to come. My husband had a stroke 6 weeks prior to our trip and this was a great place for him to spend recovery time. We spend most of the time on the deck and in the sound. It would be great to have availability to outside faucet for rinsing off. The only issue we experienced was the tub in main bathroom did not drain properly. Other than that-everything was great. Thank you to the owners for keeping this place up and all the new windows and outside work.

We had a wonderful stay at Waterside at Horizons. We love the setting right on the sound, and the incredible views from teh deck and rom the windows. The condo itself could use a little sprucing up, but it was fine for what we needed.

Overall a fantastic week in Ocracoke! Our family loves the Horizon condos. The waterside condo needs some updating though… the back door lock doesn’t work, the downstairs toilet doesn’t stop running and the wifi is awful (regular cellphone service works better than the wifi). Also, without any access to outdoor water, we were always bringing in sand from the beach due to not being able to rinse off our feet. That was a big bummer!

Absolutely awesome. We love staying at Waterside. Absolutely beautiful sunsets and built more great memories with our kids and grandkids. They all would like to stay and never go home to New Bern and Wilmington. We can hardly wait to go back next year same time.
