WV22: Tree Top Hammock

We arrived on the island early and were allowed to enter the property before the 5 o’clock check-in time. The house was very clean. Everything was in order and there were extra things like hand soap and extra dish liquid. The house was furnished nicely and had lots of toys, puzzles, and games for our granddaughter. Thank you for making our vacation a pleasant day. Thank you again to the cleaning crew.

Perfect get away. Weather was perfect as was our spotless rental. Beach time always fun. Strange there wasn't any driftwood on the beach as in the past. Ocracoke has been my 2nd home since 1960. My great Aunt, Uncle and great grandmother owned the Edwards motel. Sad to see it gone. My Grand parents lived on Back Rd. Putting flowers on their graves was part of this trip. Visited Chester Lynn who I've known for a long time. Food on the Island is fantastic just like the sunrise and sunsets. We shall return.

Even though we have been coming to Ocracoke spanning 2 generations this was our first time at this home and we LOVED it! Comfy couch and beds, beautiful screened in porch for reading and day dreaming, wonderful decks to observe the sunrise and sunsets, and a fantastically well stocked kitchen! Can’t wait to come back!

The plumbing (bathtub and sinks) was sluggish and the jack and hill bathroom had a leak around the bottom of the toilet. Carpets need to be cleaned if possible.

We only had a minor issue where one of the beds had lots of pet hair from the previous renter. It was covered and that is why I imagine the cleaning crew missed it (contact me for pictures if needed). Other than that, we had a great time, the property is gorgeous and well kept. It is very well furnished as well, we even used the gas grill to feed our family a couple of times. All communications happened via text, with the property manager who seemed very gracious. We were even given extra time on our way out (late check-out). I would definitely recommend the place again.

This is a cute house. They provide great family games and have the kitchen fully stocked with appliances and dishware. We did not love the location of the home, the neighbors appear to be full time residents and have an interesting property. The home could use new carpet. We had some trouble getting linens and towels when we arrived although they had already been rented and scheduled for pickup. The rental company eventually got that corrected. Overall this was a good stay. Thanks for sharing your home.
