WV51: Low Tide (formerly After Math)

Low Tide (formerly After Math) is a lovely cottage on a quiet street within walking distance of the Variety Store and popular restaurants on the North side of the village. Two queen beds, one in the downstairs bedroom and one in the loft, make Low Tide perfect for a couple or small family. The loft is accessed by a compact staircase and has a custom curtain on the door for privacy. Both rooms have their own mini-split air conditioners/heaters so you can set the temp just right for you.

A brightly painted main room with a vaulted ceiling makes this small house seem much larger than it is. It has a fully equipped sunny kitchen with a dishwasher, microwave, large coffee maker, pod coffee maker, french press, and coffee grinder. It also has a spacious bathroom with a shower, and a full-size stacked washer and dryer. For those who love to shower outside, there is a fully private hot and cold shower under the house accessible from the screened-in porch.

The two porches make it easy to find a quiet spot to enjoy the island breezes or cuddle up with a good book. The spacious back screen porch is great as an early morning retreat with a cup of coffee or for enjoying a ballgame or meal with the family. “Just like sitting in a tree house!” The front porch, with two large Adirondack chairs situated under a fan, makes a perfect spot for people-watching.

There are four Internet TVs (in the living room, both bedrooms, and the screened in porch) with Vidgo streaming service enabled, which has many of the channels found on cable. Other apps (Netflix, Prime, etc.) are available for you to log in on your own if desired.

The porch swing and the picnic table in the back yard are perfect for socializing while cooking dinner on the park-style grill.

Sheets and towels are provided and beds will be made for your arrival.

The exterior offers a rear screened porch with TV, open outdoor hot/cold shower, 4 outdoor outlets for golf carts, park style charcoal grill and picnic table.
