WV60: Beachy Keen

Liked to backup generator because power did go out on island one night, house was great. Only complaints is the tv remote in bedroom not working sound, Roku remote could only change channels, a upgraded tv would help ( older Dynex tv in bedroom), my wife has had problems with that tv last 3 years we stayed there.

Everything was great for our stay. The weather wasn't super cooperative, but we were able to enjoy the house and spend some good time there between fishing. The management did extend our check out time by a few hours due to the weather and ferry closures, but anything beyond that was difficult to get answers/guidance. Not really the management's fault, but on an island with weather impacts like this, there should be a formal policy to help guide guests.

Loved the house- cozy but simple. Bright & cheery. The screened in porch was like being in a glorious treehouse- spent time reading, eating, playing games here. Would highly recommend & will rent again.

Great house! Simple and cozy. We sat on the screened in porch drinking coffee, reading & playing games- best part of the house. The rooms were comfy but not overdone with decoration. Had everything we needed. The skylights made the house bright & inviting. We would recommend it to others & will stay here again in the future.

We really enjoyed our stay at Beechy Keen! It had pretty much everything we needed for our vacation. The screened porch is wonderful!! And the supplies in the kitchen were generous. We were impressed that every light switch was labeled--nice touch! Plus the fantastic Samsung tv in the living room was much enjoyed and appreciated. It was evident that the owners gave much thought and planning to setting up and decorating the house! The only adjustment I would have made was to install a vanity top that is more durable in the master bath. Thank you for sharing your beautiful Ocracoke home with us!! I hope we can return again some day.

Our annual stay for OISFT was great. Enjoyed our visit. House was very nice and clean. Only complaints are 1) Dishwasher was still loaded from previous guest...did not feel it was our place to rewash and unload. 2) The filter band on washing machine door needs to be replaced because of the ODOR it leaves on your washed clothes. Thanks for allowing us to stay in this beautiful home!!

Loved Beachy Keen! Kitchen well equipped. Appliances top of the line We loved the screened in porch. All the furniture comfortable. Loved the decor! Loved the fact the beds were maded when we got there. TVs in every room including the porch! Very well maintained. Will definetly stay again.

Beachy Keen was by far our favorite house we have stayed at. It was extremely clean, especially the screened in porch area and outdoor shower, and had everything you can think of. The decor and how the house was set up was beautiful and we felt right at home. We would def stay here again??

We had a wonderful stay at this gorgeous house. The kitchen was fully stocked (dishwater, silverware, pots, pans, blender, can opener, glassware, baking sheets, etc.) with everything we needed to prepare dinner every night. The back porch was my favorite to sit on in the evenings and watch a movie or play a round of dominoes with the kids. The outdoor shower was so nice to use after the beach and early mornings. This house was so cute and very clean upon arrival. Loved the large pantry for a week long stay to keep all of our food off of the counters. Look forward to rebooking this home in the future.

What a wonderful house this is. Clean. Comfortable. Well furnished. Lots of little touches that show how much thought went into making this place feel like home.The screen porch is a great place to hang and the space under the house came in very handy. For our family this is the perfect Ocracoke house!
