"Loved our stay. LOVED. Felt like an old family beach house, we'd been visiting for years. So comfortable. NO problem with beds for our week long stay! Super clean upon arrival. We adjusted a bit of lighting and angle of chairs to our liking, felt right at home. Plenty of extra blankets and pillows. Kitchen was especially comfortable, had everything we needed. It is an old fishermans cottage make no mistake, but just the vibe you want on Ocracoke. Right in the middle of everything but quiet, peaceful tucked back behind and next to what looked like full time Ocracoke dwellers. Was just so chill. Outside shower and screened in porch were primo. Going back next summer!"

"As always, the stay on the island was fantastic.
House was ok. Only real issue was the main level bathroom. Door entry short, hit my head twice. And shower stall really tight.
Kitchen, bedrooms, and living room were great."

"May 2019 Stay The house seems to have a lot of new work done on it, so at this point everything seems to work well. There are four inside air conditioning units, and they work exceptionally well. The house is clean and spacious, one thing to be aware of is there is no dividing wall between the two upstairs bedrooms, the stairway runs between them, but there is still a hallway width of openness between them. It would be fine for siblings to stay up there, but I dont know that others unrelated might enjoy that. The screen porch is excellent, and large, enough that we had family gatherings on the porch. The location is exceptional, a walking path right over to Silverlake, walking distance to the area is best restaurants and shops. You could literally park your car and never drive it again, with the exception of going to the beach."

"August 2018 Stay We loved staying at this 1800s beach cottage. It was interesting to learn a little about Tom Frank! The cottage was cozy and comfortable. It felt like you were stepping back in time but with all the right modern improvements to make it really comfortable. The location is perfect! So close to everything but really private too. We spent a lot of time on the screened porch. So relaxing! We loved the cottage and plan to return soon! Thank you for sharing it with us!"

"August 2018 Stay We had a wonderful week in the TF Gaskins house! It was perfect for our family of four: two adults, a 10-year old, and a 13-year old. The kids got to feel like they each got their own room, and we got our own space downstairs.Things we particularly liked:- the outdoor shower was perfection!- the new, quiet AC units worked wonderfully- the location! Close to so much, yet so quiet and no traffic!- the ducks! So many ducks!- the house history (we read the walking tour excerpt and loved the stories!) and the historical feel of the place. It feels like the funky old Ocracoke I remember from when I came as a kid in the 70s. - the screened porch.and so much more. Thanks for sharing this lovely place! The kids are already asking when we can come back. "

"July 2018 Stay Another great week in Ocracoke! We will definitely book with you next year. We loved that our house was within walking distance of everything in the village, and so did Mara, our yellow lab."
