Description

Enjoy beautiful sunset views and a sandy beach at this much sought after pet-friendly vacation home on Northern Pond (a great cove on Pamlico Sound). Kayak the calm waters and delight in the expansive water views. The interior features a large open living area with classic cottage style decor. The well-equipped kitchen and modern appliances make your stay comfortable and convenient for family gatherings. The various outdoor areas offer serene water views certain to maximize relaxation.

3 Bedrooms, 2.5 Baths: 2 with King, 1 with two Pyramid Beds (double on bottom and twin on top).

Amenities include complimentary wireless internet access, 3 smart TVs. There is no cable or satellite service available. Central air conditioning/heat, ceiling fans, The kitchen features Keurig home brewing system in addition to a standard coffee maker. Washer and dryer.

Fireplace is not available. No DVD players.

Sheets and towels are provided. Beds are made for your arrival.

The exterior offers a screened porch, and multiple decks including the popular waterfront deck with hammock, hot/cold outdoor shower, and gas grill. Picked Ocra offers one double kayak and one single kayak. Life jackets are not provided, if you wish to rent them, please contact Ride The Wind Surf Shop. They will be happy to assist.

Dock and Beach: Guests of Pickled Ocra are invited to enjoy the sandy beach in front of the home and the shared dock. Boat dockage is not available. The end of the shared dock is reserved for the neighboring property. No fish bench available.

Pet Friendly - Dogs Only.

No Smoking. Limit of 3 vehicles.

Short Stays are available, there is a three-night minimum.

What's New for 2022: No DVD players. 3 smart TVs. There is no cable or satellite service available.

First Floor: Open floor plan with den, living area with TV, dining and kitchen. Hallway half bath. Laundry room.

Second Floor: Master Bedroom with King bed, TV, and Master Bath with tub/shower. Bedroom with King bed, TV. Bedroom with two Pyramid Beds (double on bottom and twin on top). Hallway Bath with tub/shower.

*Bikes, Beach Items, Cottage and Baby Items, and more are available through Beach Outfitters. Advance orders of Beach Outfitters items can be made any time prior to your arrival by calling Ocracoke Island Realty.

This home has been on my bucket list of rentals for a few years. The home is comfortable and amenities are fantastic. The only reason we wouldn’t give a five star review is based upon the resident neighbors and their rude teenage kids. The beach area was a mess while the dock is under construction and as someone else mentioned the construction on both sides was a bit much BUT please don’t get me wrong, I’m so happy to see these homes recover and rebuild. In years past the communication from OIR had been great in letting us know and be prepared for anything unexpected, this was not the case this year. OIR should have communicated the construction of neighboring home and the dock construction that’s been on going. Again the home and location are amazing but OIR could have done more to communicate with us ahead of time.

We do apologize for any inconveniences you encountered during your stay due to the projects going on in the area. With so many repairs, remodels and rebuilds going on over the last years, it is difficult to keep up with the progress near every rental. During these projects, there are sometimes weeks in between any work actually going on. Hopefully these will all be completed soon, and if you are rebooking for next year you will have a quiet and relaxing vacation! Thank you for choosing to vacation with us and we hope you and your family enjoyed all the wonderful things to see and do on Ocracoke. We hope to see you and your family again soon!

Had an awesome time (as we do every year we visit Ocracoke)!! The house was amazing and the views and the beach and the pier, and I could go on and on!! Counting down the days until we visit again next year!!

I stayed here for ten days. It is a wonderful place. The views of the sound from the dining room table, the screened in porch and the second story balcony are nothing short of amazing. The hammock on the upstairs balcony is just great. I have a black lab and he loved the beach and the easy access to the sound that it provided. I enjoyed checking the beach each morning to see what had been added or removed by the waves.As has always been my experience, the staff at Ocracoke Island Realty were invariably accommodating, courteous and helpful. The house is within fairly easy walking distance to the shops and restaurants in the village. All in all the house is as close to perfection as you could find for an Ocracoke get away.
